BRIEF HISTORY

Northern Quezon College, Inc. Library is located at the 2nd floor of the administration building. It is the reservoir of print and non-print resources needed and recommended by the community.

VISION

offering a warm and supportive learning environment, and ensuring that teachers and students will develop competence and ethical usage of information to satisfy their intellectual curiosity for a lifelong love of reading, learning and independent thinking.

MISSION

In line with its mission, it is committed:

• To develop, organize, and provide access to and preserve educational learning materials to meet the needs of present and future generations of students.
• To explore and implement innovative technologies and services to deliver information and scholarly resources to its patron's convenience.
• To provide well-equipped and functional physical spaces that can be utilized by the students and faculty for independent learning.

OBJECTIVES

NQCI Library conceives its basic purposes to include the following:

• To select and acquire print and non-print resources to support the curricular, co-curricular, research, information and recreational needs of the community.
• To utilize new technology available in organizing and maintaining updated collection of all print and non-print materials.
• To make the collections available to its users adapting to new standards, use of modern technnologies, relevant materials and facilities conducive to learning.
• To assist the users in accessing available resources and computer facilities by means of promoting awareness and participation to school activities.
• To encourage and support at all levels the staff of the library, a lively interest on the pursuit of inquiry and habit of self-learning with a view to the constant enhancement of the library’s programs and services.
• To explore and implement increased means of cooperation with other libraries in the community, region among others with regards to collection programs, reference and information services and computer network facilities.
• To achieve these objectives, NQCI Library must constantly strive for:
  • Effective administration and competent staff;
  • Adequate financial support;
  • Adequate staffing;
  • Efficient organization of library materials;
  • Efficient services to users;
  • Clean, safe and adequate physical facilities;
  • Effective staff development and training.
