"Since the publication of the Revised Edition of this textbook in 2007, significant changes in education have occurred which altered the Philippine education curriculum landscape. The introduction of K-12 in 2012 and the launching of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), taking full effect in 2015, imply an expanded usage of the textual resource from the higher education to include the basic education from Grades 10 to 12 and some cases Grades 8 and 9 as well. But this curriculum revamp does not alter the subject matter or content of sociology and anthropology." --
